Course FAQ

  • This course is meticulously crafted to provide anyone with a robust knowledge of how to eat for health. It addresses a serious gap that currently exists in our collective understanding.

Many find themselves overwhelmed by nutrition, and many of us end up “majoring in the minors,” which can lead to getting lost in biohacking rabbit holes, a fixation on avoiding certain foods, or an undue obsession with supplements.

Many of us adhere strictly to a single nutritional principle, whether it be avoiding seed oils, adopting a plant-based diet, or following a ketogenic regimen, and in many cases we aren’t sure if it’s even helping or hurting us.

Additionally, there's a tendency to get ensnared in the intricate web of micronutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, losing sight of the broader nutritional landscape.

The rise of social media influencers and biohackers has only exacerbated this issue, often complicating matters unnecessarily.

While the concept of bio-individuality holds its truths and merits, it has led many astray in a sea of relativity, leaving them without a clear direction on fundamental practices, such as preparing a simple meal for themselves.

This course aims to navigate through this cacophony, offering clarity and simplicity in understanding nutrition's foundational aspects.

  • The beauty of gaining an understanding of the macronutrients as they’re called, is that if you really understand how to read food on this level, you won’t need to worry about chasing individual vitamins and minerals.

And that’s because if you “major in the majors,” the minors will tend to take care of themselves.

By the end of this course you will actually have a clear set of priorities when it comes to knowing how to nourish yourself.

  • I used to joke that a nutrition course in high school is a good example of something that would actually empower us and give us a really foundational set of tools to succeed in life.

Now I’m a bit more cynical because I think that a course on nutrition could do a world of good, but it could also do harm if it’s not done correctly.

Call it misinformation, call it disinformation, call it whatever you want, but there is a lot of falsehood in the world of nutrition ideas, and a lot of myth that people take as fact.

This course will make you resilient against the blowing winds of fads and trends, because you will be standing on a firm foundation.

  • What’s amazing about nutrition science is just how much of it there is.

If you tried to read every study that’s ever been done on food and health, you’d be reading for the rest of your life, and the whole time, more of it would be coming out.

However, the foundational core of what you really need to know has changed remarkably little in the past 15 years.

So again, this course is about what’s putting the most important things first, emphasizing what we know and can count on, and adding much-needed clarity to the nutrition world.

You will know how to take care of yourself with food!

  • This course is designed to make you nutritionally literate.

You will be able to look at a menu, across a supermarket section, or over a plate of food, and understand how it will make you feel before you eat it.

You will be able to read food.

You will be able to support your mental and physical health, instead of wondering if the way you’re eating is helping or hurting.

You will have real guidance on how to take care of yourself and live your best life.

You will understand how to eat!
